Our G-FTL125 FTS 1.25m Rotovator is ideal for use around smallholdings and estates. It is the perfect machine for cultivating compacted areas of ground. It is most often used in our customers’ vegetable gardens and allotments to break up the soil ready for new seeds and plants to grow.
The left and right handed blades are mounted to the rotor cylinder and till the soil as the machine works. This allows the rotary tiller to effectively break up compacted soil to leave the ground ready for planting. Always check the land you are about to rotovate for any foreign objects or large stones. Remove these prior to starting. Lower the machine to the ground and start the PTO drive at 540RPM then lower in to the ground. Start at a slow speed to prevent the tractor or machine from struggling.
Some compacted areas may need 2 passes at a lesser depth to start with then going deeper on a second pass. This machine will work best when the ground isn’t too solid so allow for a bit of rainfall before. Also if the ground is too wet or lots of clay, it may also clog up so ensure areas have dried up a bit prior to use.
This is a PTO driven implement with chain and gear drive.
Both skids on the side of the unit are height adjustable for flexible tilling depth of up to a maximum of 9cm. The rear guard/flap can also be adjusted to set the finish of the soil behind the tiller. This also creates a smooth level finish to any tilled soil.
The FTS 1.25m Rotovator can be attached to the 3 point linkage of a range of small or compact tractors. It is quick and simple to fit.
